Welcome to Christian Missionary Fellowship International (CMFI), Newfoundland, a Jesus-centered and Bible-believing Church located at 40 International Place, St. John’s, Newfoundland. We are one of the thousands of CMFI Churches committed to taking the gospel of Jesus Christ to 200 nations in all the six continents of the world and making 1 billion into His disciples by the year 2065.
CMFI was founded in 1975 from the overflow of the apostolic ministry of Professor Zacharias Tanee Fomum in Cameroon. Today, we are in 110 nations with 2.4 million members and hundreds of international and national missionaries across the world. The goal of our ministry is that everyone in our ministry becomes a worshipper who enjoys Jesus Christ as their soul bliss through the process of a developed personal relationship with God.
In CMFI Newfoundland (CMFI NL), our goal is to make disciples for the Lord Jesus Christ, raise people who will obey Him in all things and serve Him from the overflow of their love for Him and their growing knowledge of Him. We are on a mission to ensure that every inhabitant of our province hears the gospel preached in the power of the Holy Spirit and believes. Much more, our aim is to ensure that at least one-third of the inhabitants in our province become disciples of Jesus Christ, ably represented from every nation, tribe, race, tongue, and colour found in Newfoundland under our mission. Furthermore, in obedience to the injunction of the Lord to go and make disciples of all nations (Matthew 28:19), Newfoundland is only our starting point. As we labour for the cause of Christ within the province, we also ensure that missionaries are being sent out and churches are being planted in other nations and provinces. All these we aim to accomplish using every righteous means.
We are grateful to God for all who have become part of this mission, and we give thanks in anticipation of the many who will come along. Praise the Lord!
