Meet The Pastors
Pastor Jaunty and Opeyemi are the lead pastors of CMFI Church in Newfoundland where they have a God-given mandate to make disciples for Jesus of all nations represented in Newfoundland. Pastor Jaunty and Opeyemi have been believers and disciples of Jesus Christ from their childhood and have served in various Christian ministries for over 26 years, 11 of these as a couple. They have been involved with leading large student ministries and interdenominational congregations before moving here. They moved to Newfoundland from Norway in 2011 with a deep sense of purpose and of a call to Newfoundland. They attended Bethesda Pentecostal Church in St. John’s for 3 years from 2011 to 2014 before they answered the call of God to plant a CMFI Church in Newfoundland.
Both Pastor Jaunty and Opeyemi are ardent scholars. Pastor Jaunty holds a first class Bachelors degree in Biochemistry (FUT, Akure), a Masters degree with distinctions in Environmental Diagnosis (Imperial College, London) and an MBA from Blekinge Institute of Technology, Sweden. Pastor Opeyemi hold a Bachelors degree in Applied Geology (University of Ilorin), a Masters degree in Human Resources Management (University of Wales) and currently pursuing a PhD at Memorial University of Newfoundland. They have had extensive ministry training with CMFI and the Christian Leadership Institute (CLI). They are happily married with two children, Zoe and Jeriel.
Our lead pastors are assisted by a diverse team of pastoral staff and leaders who are called, anointed, well trained and on fire for the Lord.
