Want to get involved in serving in the church? Here are a few ways in which you can serve and make a difference.
Our goal is to serve the members of the church and our community by welcoming them, offering help, and making them feel loved by giving them God’s love.
How you can serve
If you are interested in being part of the unit’s vision and willing to do the below when/if required
- Oversee the working of all hospitality programs and visitor care ministries.
- Coordinate the activities that involve hospitality and care ministries.
- Be alert to the needs of the church membership and ways to serve those needs.
- Responsible for setting up beverages and food before/after worship services, creating an atmosphere of excellent hospitality during service and at other miscellaneous church functions, as needed.
- Help coordinate accommodation and assistance for those in the church who have had recent hospitalizations, health issues, and special mobility needs.
- Make all attendees feel the love of Christ by making them feel relaxed, comfortable, reassured, accepted, cared for, and at home.
At CMFI MUN, students are raised to be disciples of the Lord Jesus Christ who live a life of complete obedience to God in all things, who then spread the gospel beginning from Memorial University to the community, other institutions of higher learning in Canada, and beyond.
Learn MoreThe goal of the Books ministry is to contribute to the pursuit of Christ, development of spiritual maturity, and all-round progress in the Christian life among the members of the Church. We also aim to distribute our books, tracts, and publications beyond the confines of the Church as a contribution to soul winning and the making of disciples.
How you can serve:
- Participating in the Christian literature Club where we review our ministry’s books and select Christian literature for video recordings and social media posts.
- Assisting with book sales, marketing, and distribution.
The mission of this ministry is to raise children and teenagers who are true disciples of the Lord Jesus Christ.
How you can serve
- You could be a children’s teacher where you would head the lessons for your class.
- You could be a volunteer where you assist the lead teacher and also participate in teaching and serving the children in other domains including Vacation Bible School (VBS), talent shows, writing, spoken word, and dance.
Having a heart for children, to see them saved, discipled to the Lord Jesus, and grow in all domains of life is the basic requirement for joining the children’s ministry.

How you can serve
You can serve by using your gifts and talents in the areas below:
- Dance
- Drama
- Presenting (announcements, etc.)
- Arts
- Spoken Word
- Silhouettes
- Story Writing and Story Telling, etc.
You don’t necessarily need to be on stage to serve in this ministry if you don’t want to. There is room for background workers such as: Stage organizer, Script Writer, costumier, make-up, props, videographer, photographer, etc.
The vision of the unit is to raise a team of dedicated and godly stewards who will commit to serving the brethren by ensuring that the church building (main sanctuary, children church, hallways, staircase, and washrooms) is clean, safe, and conducive for soul-winning, discipleship, worship, and fellowship.
How you can serve
If you have the following skillsets or desire to be part of the unit’s vision.
- Housekeeping, cleaning, attention to details, and organizational skills.
- Knowledge of cleaning equipment and product
Orientation and training would be provided.
This ministry is 2-fold; it serves those within & those without by providing an environment conducive for worship, co-labor with the pastor, worship team, etc. at worship services and other programs. Creatively use media and technology to accomplish our vision of making disciples for the Lord Jesus, reach the unsaved with the gospel of the Kingdom as well as the unchurched so they can all join in the discipleship process
How you can serve
You can serve in any of the areas below:
- Graphic Design – Sermon slides, flyers, posters etc.
- Social Media – Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, Twitter
- Photography – Photo editing
- Media Projection
- Videography – Livestreaming, Production of weekly announcements, promo videos, creative productions
- Audio – Sound system, Sermon recording, editing and publishing
- Content writing – Promotional materials, website, social media, church blog , church communications etc.
- Digital Marketing – Search Engine Optimization (SEO), Social Media Marketing etc.
The goal of this ministry is to reach Youth & Young Adults with the saving message of Christ, bring them to His saving Knowledge, and raise them as Christ’s Disciples in the disciplines of the Normal Christian life.

By strengthening men to be Godly leaders and servants both in the church and at home, the aim is to raise men who understand the gospel, respond to the gospel, and apply the gospel.

How you can serve
If you are interested in being part of the unit’s vision and willing to do the below:
- Pleasantly greet each person, welcoming him or her to the house of God.
- Assist persons by hanging coats, answering questions, accompanying them to their designated seat, etc.
- Hand out welcome packages to first-time guests and collect completed forms.
- Collect tithes and offerings.
- Maintain a regular count of persons attending services.
- Prearrange seating.
- Place offering envelopes and pens behind seats.
- Provide masks and encourage maintaining all health & safety protocols.
This team supervises the donations of the church members; ensuring the donation are used to advance the purpose of God, on earth, and in heaven. Also to ensure appropriate and adequate record-keeping for regulatory reporting purposes.
How you can serve
If you have the following skillsets or interested in being part of the unit’s vision:
- Knowledge of Accounting Principles, Processes, and Procedures
- Knowledge of Finance and Financial Concepts
- Knowledge of CRA and Provincial rules for charity
- Proficiency in MS Excel, MS Word, Adobe Acrobat, Sage & QuickBooks software
CMFI NL Women’s ministry is centered on helping women come to the saving knowledge of Christ and grow daily in him. Its aim is to form women who live, love, serve like Christ.
